Unknowable?

We humans all seem so alike. We share so much in common and yet none of us can ever truly know even one other human completely. My images of people are very different to almost all the other photographs I make. I try to capture something of the individual more than just the shape of their face or the colour of their skin. I don’t remove the imperfections but I don’t prey on them either. I love to look for incongruity and contradiction but I try to create an image with gentleness and love. I want to create connections not divisions.
