Conjoined organisms.

The mushrooms, toadstools and other fungi we see are just the fruiting bodies of much larger hidden organisms. Ancient fungi masses have been measures to span over 80km. These lie dormant in the soil waiting for the right conditions to poke their heads above ground. What have these hidden, mysterious lifeforms witnessed? How do they communicate work to further the collective life force?
